With sweeping views of False Bay, Table Mountain, the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountains, Apricot Gardens Guesthouse in Gordon's Bay, Cape Town has a perfect position close to the Winelands. Just 45 minutes from Cape Town and the waterfront, or 30 minutes from the airport, Apricot Gardens Guesthouse was historically, the first farm house in this region.

Completely renovated and decorated with care, this Gordon's Bay accommodation is ideal for discovering the areas many attractions. There are a variety of wonderful scenic routes in this region such as the coastal road from Gordon's Bay via Kleinmond to Hermanus, a Whale watchers haven.

Apricot Gardens Guesthouse is situated on a 1.2 hectare property at the foot of Sir Lowry's Pass and has a small Olive tree grove, fruit trees, a Lavender field and a Rose garden. The old garden contains indigenous shrubs and flowers planted many years ago.

The guest house overlooks Gordon's Bay with Bikini Beach, long stretches of golden sand and beachfront cafes. Just 30 minutes away is historic Stellenbosch, famous for its wineries and University. There are at least 17 superb golf courses nearby that can all be reached within an hours drive.

How to get to Apricot Gardens:

From Cape Town and the International Airport:

  • Take the N2 Somerset West road. This is a national road / highway which must be followed for about 35km (22 miles).
  • As you head out on the N2 towards Sir Lowry's Pass you will pass a Shell petrol station on your right.
  • After about 500 metres you turn right at the very next turn (Gordon's Bay / Kleinmond).
  • Drive 500 metres on that road and take the first road (gravel road) to the left. After 1.5km (about 1 mile) you will reach Apricot Gardens Guesthouse.

From Port Elizabeth or the Garden Route:

  • After the town of Grabouw you will pass over Sir Lowry's Pass.
  • Take the first turn-off to the left at the Gordon's Bay / Kleinmond sign.
  • Drive 500 metres on that road and take the first road (gravel road) to the left. After 1.5km (about 1 mile) you will reach Apricot Gardens Guesthouse.

From the N1 highway:

  • From Worcester you will pass through the Huguenot Tunnel after which you take the R44 Stellenbosch exit.
  • Keep going through Stellenbosch to Somerset West, on the R44. When you reach the N2, turn left towards George and Sir Lowrys Pass.
  • After 10 minutes you'll see a Shell petrol station (on the right). Another 500 metres and you see the sign Gordon's Bay / Kleinmond - turn-off to the right.
  • Drive 500 metres and take the first road (gravel road) to the left. After 1.5km you will reach Apricot Garden Guesthouse.
